| “TerraNail® Walls is a method of reinforcing existing soil by installing threaded steel bars into slopes or cuts as construction proceeds from top down. TerraNail® is installed to create a stable mass of soil, first step in building a solid wall. The nailing process creates a single block of earth able to hold-back its overburden. The fundamental concept of TerraNail® Walls consists of reinforcing the ground by passive inclusions, closely spaced, to create in-situ a coherent gravity structure and thereby to increase the overall shear strength of the in-situ soil and restrain its displacements. |
